Triumph Scrambler 1200X launch in India, know its price, specifications and features!

Revving up the excitement in the Indian motorcycle scene, Triumph Motorcycles has just launched the all-new Scrambler 1200 X. Priced competitively at INR 11.83 lakhs (ex-showroom), this model steps in to fill the shoes of the now-retired Scrambler 1200 XC.

Triumph’s latest offering seamlessly marries classic charm with contemporary engineering, promising riders an unparalleled journey on two wheels. With a weight of 228 kilograms and available in three distinct colors – Carnival Red, Ash Grey, and Sapphire Black – the Scrambler 1200 X not only captures attention with its aesthetics but also delivers on performance and capability.

Scrambler 1200X Price and Color Options

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 X comes with an ex-showroom price starting from ₹11,83,000. You can choose from three stylish color options: Sapphire Black, Ash Grey, and Carnival Red.

Engine & Transmission

Powering this bike is a liquid-cooled, 8-valve, SOHC, 270° crank angle parallel-twin engine with a capacity of 1200 cc. It boasts a bore of 97.6 mm and a stroke of 80 mm, with a compression ratio of 11:1. The engine delivers a maximum power of 66.2kW/89bhp/90PS at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 110Nm at 4250 rpm.

SCRAMBLER 1200X

The bike features a ride-by-wire system, multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection, and a brushed 2 into 2 exhaust system with brushed high-level silencers. The final drive is managed by an X-ring chain, and the wet, multi-plate assist clutch is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Scrambler 1200 X has a fuel consumption rate of 4.4 and CO2 figures of 105.

For maintenance, the bike requires a service interval of 10,000 miles (16,000 km) or 12 months, whichever comes first.

Chassis

The Scrambler 1200 X is built on a tubular steel frame and features a twin-sided, aluminum fabrication swingarm. It rides on tubeless 36-spoke 21 x 2.15in aluminum rims at the front and tubeless 32-spoke 17 x 4.25in aluminum rims at the rear. The front suspension comprises Marzocchi non-adjustable USD forks with 170mm wheel travel, while the rear suspension features Marzocchi twin RSU’s with a piggyback reservoir, preload adjustable, and 170mm wheel travel.

Braking is handled by twin 310mm discs with a 2-piston Nissin axial caliper at the front and a single 255mm disc with a single-piston floating Nissin caliper at the rear, both equipped with ABS. The bike rolls on a 90/90-21 front tire and a 150/70 R17 rear tire.

Dimensions & Weights

The bike has a width of 834 mm at the handlebars, a height of 1185 mm without mirrors, and a seat height of 820 mm. It boasts a wheelbase of 1525 mm, a rake of 26.2 º, a trail of 125 mm, a tank capacity of 15 L, and a wet weight of 228 kg.
