Lantrani: A Rollercoaster of Comedy, Drama, and Impactful Stories!

ZEE5 is also amazing; on its platform, sometimes no content comes for weeks, or multiple shows or movies are released in just one week. On February 9th, three movies were released on their platform on the same day, including their own movie Lantrani. In today’s post, we will talk about this newly released film.

Lantrani Review

The movie Lantrani, made by the team of Gullak, had raised high expectations from the audience. Essentially, it is a comedy-drama movie with a runtime of 1 hour 40 minutes. The film tells three different stories. In the first story, we see a police officer who, on the day of his retirement, receives an order to go and catch a criminal on his bike. To know what happens next, you have to watch the movie.

Lantrani Review

Basically, the first story is good, the concept is impactful, but the presentation in today’s time is poorly executed. However, the subject of the story is good, and the acting is excellent. Johnny Lever, especially in the role of Bhai Sahab, has done a fantastic job. But the impact was somewhat lacking. Therefore, the first story gets a rating of 6 out of 10.

The second story is quite a nonsense story set during the COVID time. There is a news channel that has completely gone bankrupt, and they don’t have money to pay rent. In the midst of this, they have to feature a sanitizer sponsor ad. The story is boring, and Ivan, who is trying to convey something through the story, is not clear.

In the third story of the movie, which is the most impactful, you get to see Jitu Bhaiya fighting for his rights. Here, you witness a punch fighting for their rights while observing a silent protest. The entire scenario in this story is well-presented, and the climax is very real, presenting things realistically. The impact of this story is quite impressive, and even though Jitu Bhaiya says only one word in the end, his silent acting is commendable.

In conclusion, this movie could have been an impactful picture, but it couldn’t quite achieve that. The first story is decent, the third story is good, but the second one is entirely skippable. If you are planning to watch this movie, it’s better to skip the second story.

Talking about parental guidance, there are no nude or vulgar scenes in the movie, but you get to hear some swear words.
